Upon arriving, Ms. Tye was very weak, but motivated to regain her strength to be able to go home. While receiving physical and occupational therapy, Ms. Tye also received education about managing her diabetes at home. When asked about her stay here she stated, “I missed being away from my family, but you all made that part not so hard. I always had so much fun in therapy, I watched myself get stronger. This is a great facility. If I ever need help like this again, this will be the place I come.”
Overall, Ms. Tye’s goals with Occupational Therapy regarding problem-solving were met and exceeded. Ms. Tye also progressed significantly with Physical Therapy in the areas with mobility and transfers.
